MOONSORROW's 'Viides Luku – Hävitetty' To Receive North American Release In April
February 5, 2007Finnish folk/viking metal band MOONSORROW will release its new album, "Viides Luku – Hävitetty", in North America on April 17 via Unruly Sounds/The End Records. The CD — 56 minutes of music comprised from two songs — continues to place the group as one of the forerunners of the folk/viking metal scene due in part to their extensive use of folklore and pagan elements in their music and imagery.
Released in Europe last month, "Viides Luku - Hävitetty" entered the German national chart at position No. 72. The CD was recorded between May and August 2006 at Tico Tico and The Stable studios and was mixed by Ahti Kortelainen and Henri Sorvali. Mastering duties were handled by Mika Jussila.
MOONSORROW will team up with SWALLOW THE SUN for a European tour in March/April. The band recently completed a mini-tour in Canada and plans to return to tour this album in North America sometime this year.
